Rutgers’ Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) is a University Transportation Center (UTC), one of a network of research and education organizations recognized and supported by the U. S. Department of Transportation, focusing on the systems that keep our country mobile and prosperous. CAIT is particularly strong in solving complex issues in high-volume, multimodal corridors where our researchers and engineers address critical infrastructure challenges our country faces now and in the future: public safety, national security, mobility, congestion, environmental impacts, economics, infrastructure health monitoring, and asset management.
